I can take action to improve the water cycle in Canterbury In this project I was working with Jacinta and we decided to create…A story book

In this project we decided that our success criteria were:  
A good Children’s Story needs...
Why is this important?
Theme and plot
It needs a plot and title or the reader will get confused and stop reading.
A point, lesson and promotion
There needs to be a point to the story and a lesson so when the person has finished reading they have learn’t something
Story structure
It will need structure to it as well because or there won’t be the main part of the story.
Characters
Make up your own characters to make the story more interesting!
Setting
It needs a setting. It could be in 1905 at war or the year 3000 in the future!
Overall our project met/do not meet this criteria because...It has a good theme and plot (going to the beach).  it has a good point/lesson/promotion (not to litter in our waterways) story structure introduction (meet kate and amy) problem (rubbish everywhere) and solution (they picked the rubbish up) characters (amy and kate) setting (beach, home, bedroom, walkway)

I can make links across texts by recognising connectives or adverbial clauses In this unit learnt about connectives and how the contribute to a sentince and I learnt about what an adverbial clause it and how to put them into a sentice. A connective is a joing word that can be used in the middle of two sentices to join them or at the start of the two sentence but put a commer where they should go a few exaples of a connective are: Because, after, meanwhile, and, As soon as. An adverbial clause is The bit of informatin before a commor (but not on lists) an exaple is: After herold ate dinner , he went to bed. In CAREERS EDUCATION we have been learning to write a skills based Curriculum Vitae. A skills based C.V. focuses more on the skills that we have,  rather than our work history. In Maths we have been learning……….. Square numbers to 100 and their matching square roots. This is part of our number Knowledge. It is important to just know these as we can use this knowledge in other areas of maths. Here is a link to our online modelling book .
