On Monday we went down to cross country at Westlake Park. Me and Savannah decided we would take down 4 different coloured buckets to represent each of the houses because all of the people showing great effort would get a pozi and put it in there house colour bucket.

When we got down there I handed out handfuls of pozis to all the teachers. Me and Savannah had to keep an eye on the bucketts and every now and then when Savannah was watching the buckets I went to cheer on some of the other people in the races.

I think I showed community by helping out at Westlake Park which is part of our community, I showed trust worthy because I was able to be trusted with handing out pozis to people.

I can make links across texts by recognising connectives or adverbial clauses In this unit learnt about connectives and how the contribute to a sentince and I learnt about what an adverbial clause it and how to put them into a sentice. A connective is a joing word that can be used in the middle of two sentices to join them or at the start of the two sentence but put a commer where they should go a few exaples of a connective are: Because, after, meanwhile, and, As soon as. An adverbial clause is The bit of informatin before a commor (but not on lists) an exaple is: After herold ate dinner , he went to bed. In Maths we have been learning……….. Square numbers to 100 and their matching square roots. This is part of our number Knowledge. It is important to just know these as we can use this knowledge in other areas of maths. Here is a link to our online modelling book . Elections: I would march for Maori Party.

WALT: Write an effective argument for our chosen political party. “Get on board our waka” do you know what this means? To me Maori Party's catch phrase is inviting you to join there group (waka) by voting for them in the upcoming election I am going to join it. I am going to tell you about the three most important policies Maori Party has claimed to achieve if they win the election, the policies are all to do with justice, safety, and health the three things that are most important to me. I will start off by telling you about the policies to do with health. Make doctor and dentists visits free for under 18 years of age This will be good for the health of children and teens, It will include after hours and weekends. One of the reason I believe this is a good policy is because Kids and teens get sick and hurt a lot more than adults.
