Term 1 Novel Study

Term 1 Novel Study
This term I have been reading and studying the novel See Ya Simon by David Hill
I found this novel interesting because you follow siamons last moments in life and along the way you learn about the disease siamon had which is Muscular Dystrophy.
During the novel I had to complete two major assessment tasks. The first is an Explain Map which shows the consequences of a major event in the book. The second was a Describe++ Map (Inference map) which shows I how I have connected prior knowledge and other experiences to what I have been reading to make an inference. Link to Explain Map Link to Inference Map
National Standard this covers
Year 7/8  Standard using several pieces of information to make inferences
using their prior knowledge, along with information in the text, to interpret abstract ideas, complex plots, and sophisticated themes I can use a range of strategies, such as inferring, to work out more complex words.

Key leadership-earning my merit-Excellence blog post #2

7/4/17 In assembly on Monday I was sitting down waiting for the Miss Trotter to call my name for my merit badge my mum had come along to see me get it. When I got it I was very happy because it is actually kinda hard to get you merit badge. First you need to blog about your key leadership role (that's what this one is) 5 times then you need to blog about two things you have done around the school to show leadership 5 times and lastly you need to do 5 home learning challenges and blog about those so in all total you are only allowed to blog three times a week.
I think I showed great active thinking because I had to actively think up a new topic for each blog post, I also showed goal focused by working towards my goal of getting my merit badge.

Assessment task: Investigate situations that involve elements of chance by comparing experimental distributions with expectations from models of the possible outcomes, acknowledging variation and independence.

Question 1:

Show your working and answer here (you may need to add a photo of a tree diagram you frew on your little whiteboard):

Question 2: Car number plates in the land of Automobile have two letters and two digits. How many different number plates could be made using two letters and two digits?

Show your working and answers here:
Question 3: 3a: Show your working and answer here: 9 because the first week 4 and secound 5 because a new catch added

3b: Show your working and answer here: 14 because first week 4 and the last weeks 5.

What is you next step?
